A computerized numerical control (CNC) operator needs a wide variety of skills. These skills include measuring parts and working with gauges, interfacing with the CNC machine, dealing with machine malfunctions, and preparing the machine. Sometimes, the CNC operator also works with computer aided design (CAD) programs as well to create detailed drawings and load the measurements into the machine.
