A development engineer is responsible for reviewing and approving home and residential additions and improvement for development. This excludes new construction. The engineer has to make sure all improvements fit within zoning regulations, review the how this is going to affect the geological features in the area, study how traffic patterns are going to be affected and other aspects similar in nature. Once this information is found the engineer either approves or rejects the project.
