Metrologists evaulate and test equipment used to measure mass, speed, volume, length, temperature, time, force and electrical currents. They may also calibrate these devices or redesign and reevaluate the equipment. They are responsible for making improvements to reduce error. Metrologists may work for the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
