Responsible for researching and writing of various news stories to share with the city of Sandusky. Mainly covered current topics and larger headlines, but eventually also become a monthly columnist writing opinion articles about various hot topics such as the War in Iraq, the tsunami in Japan, and the United States economy crisis. Responsible for meeting all deadlines given and ensuring that work was accurate upon being turned in to the editor.

Responsible for contributing accurate and interesting articles to the sport section of the paper. Was responsible for covering events both large and small: from the Super Bowl and World Series to the local high school football and swimming teams. Required to plan and organize articles alone and was responsible for setting and meeting deadlines for articles. Travel was also required to cover some sporting events.

Learned about how to write a clear and concise article that would have mass appeal while being informative. Participated in the college newspaper and worked as the editor-in-chief for one year.
