Responsible for the checking in and checking out of library books and collecting of any late fees. Also responsible for helping patrons find the correct reading materials for their needs. In charge of ensuring that books are organized and cataloged properly for easy location by guests and for helping guests use research tools such as the library computer system and the microfiche system.

Upper Valley Public Library

Librarian

Responsible for maintaining records of which books are currently checked out and checked in. Also in charge of making sure that books stay organized throughout the library. Acted as a liaison for people who wished to schedule various events in the library such as meet and greets with authors and a monthly story time for children under 6.

University of Vermont

Master of Science in Library Sciences

Learned about different filing systems and how libraries work. Was also required to gain a cursory knowledge of the general subjects that would be available within the library. Received specialized eduction in the area of European history.
