Chief Pilot

Acted as a commercial pilot for a major airline. Logged over 8000 flight hours in passenger planes. Was responsible for following the charted courses, maintaining contact with air traffic control in order to ensure a safe and efficient flight, and reporting any problems to both air traffic control and maintenance crews on the ground. Responsible for keeping flight logs and for ensuring that all equipment is functioning normally before take off.

First Officer

Responsible for assisting with flights. Helped the chief pilot to keep planes on course, checked with air traffic control to obtain optimal cruising speeds and to ensure the safety of the route. Also responsible for managing the plane if the chief pilot is occupied or unable to pilot the plane.

Learned about the basic components of flying and how to pilot various types of aircraft. Learned about flying both from real time experience with a professional pilot and from flight simulations that were run at the school. Graduated with a 3.6 GPA.
