Resumesimo: Creating a Professional Resume Completely Free-of-charge

Prague, June, 2011 - Completely new functions have been added to the popular Resumesimo site to help job seekers. Resumesimo will help you create a professional resume and much more in just a few minutes. And it’s all completely free-of-charge.

“Resumesimo is totally free of charge. We want our service to be of help to everyone who’s looking to boost their chances of getting a new job,” says Ladislav Nosakovec, one of the founders of Resumesimo. He continues: “There are tons of applications and websites for creating resumes online. But when you look at them, you find that most will either give you an unattractive result or that their interface is counterintuitive and complex. We’ve been doing things differently at Resumesimo from the very start.”

In contrast to the competition, Resumesimo offers you more than just a professional-looking resume. “Everyone who takes advantage of our resume services gets a classic black-and-white resume, an e-book entitled “How to Find a Job”, an online business card and the opportunity for making future changes, also free-of-charge,” Nosakovec adds.

The popularity of Resumesimo is gaining, evidence of which is its gradual growth to markets abroad. “Resumesimo currently operates in four countries. In coming days, we plan to offer versions for Germany and Poland. Resumesimo will be free-of-charge in all countries,” says Martin Demiger, the other co-founder of Resumesimo.

Resumesimo wants to be of genuine help in your job search. To do so, it continues to expand its service portfolio. “Over the next several weeks, Resumesimo will be undergoing significant changes. In addition to resumes as such, we’ll be offering users other related services like help in writing cover letters and in the job search itself,” Demiger says.

Resumesimo Celebrates Success in the U.S. and raises $500K

An ambitious project called Resumesimo.com. is taking America by storm. What is it? It’s a website that allows anyone to create a graphically handsome resume with just the right content in ten minutes – a resume potential employers will find it tough to overlook. Resumesimo.com is pumping new life into notions of what a good resume should be. “We know there are HR departments that take in dozens of resumes every day. They all look exactly the same and each one gets only a couple of seconds of attention. You may have wonderful job experience but your resume places you at the same starting point as everyone else,” Ladislav Nosakovec, one of the website’s founders, says. He continues: “A resume from Resumesimo will get you more than that several seconds of attention. Simply because it’s not the one personnel departments are getting over and over. The main thing in looking for work is to set yourself apart from the dozens of other applicants.” One big benefit of the service is the speed with which a new resume can be created. “There‘s no registration, no tedious clicking through. You simply choose a template, upload or fill in your data, and in just a few minutes, you see the result. You can either print your resume out or send it by e-mail to the employer,” adds Nosakovec.

The entire project was created by Nosakovec and his business partner, Martin Demiger. “We got the idea for the project at the end of 2010. A lot of our friends were looking for work and complaining that there wasn’t anything available on the internet to help them create a resume in a simple fashion,” Demiger says about the birth of the project, which became a big hit after just a couple of weeks. “The success of the American version surprised us. We thought the incredible competition would make things difficult, but word-of-mouth went to work and our initial customers quickly spread the news about Resumesimo to their friends and acquaintances,” one of the founders says with satisfaction. Something else behind the successful start of Resumesimo is the fact that we were able to find a strong investor. Jan Barta, one of the biggest holders of domain names in the world, invested half-a-million US dollars in the startup and further development. That’s why this successful project is getting ready to expand into further markets. “In coming months, other language versions will go online that better correspond to the needs of our customers in other countries. We think there’s great potential, as well, in Brazil, where we already have several dozen satisfied customers,” Demiger concludes.

We’ve Taken Part in the Global Startups Conference

On Wednesday, June 22, a historical first took place in the form of the Global Startups Conference. This was the first event of its type, featuring startups and internet projects with Czech roots. The conference took place in the historical area in the center of Prague, with participation from more than 30 projects.

The original plan for the event called for determining how many global internet projects are located in the CR. But there was so much interest in the conference that, in the end, the organizers had to set up strict conditions for taking part and some candidates had to be refused.

Resumesimo was represented by Ladislav Nosakovec. He gave a favorable report of the Global Startups event: “It was good to find out that we’re not alone and that there are other global projects centered here in the Czech Republic. Global Startups served as a platform to bring developers and internet entrepreneurs aiming at the global market closer together. The event featured a pleasant, informal atmosphere. An integral part of this was the location where the conference was held, in a cellar.

More information on the participants and the event itself will be available in coming days on the official Global Startups website. We thank the organizers for great networking and the chance to meet interesting people in the business. The Czech startup scene is hot!
