Have you ever considered why you waste all of your free time at work? Did you ever think when you were a little kid that you would be spending all day in an office somewhere? We all dream of being an athlete, or an astronaut or something cool like that. Instead, most of us waste our days in an office, or working for someone else in general.

You Need Money

The best reason why you spend all day working for the man is that you need money. The bills will still come rolling in no matter what you doing for work. This means that you have to take whatever job you can get in order to pay the bills and not have your house taken by the bank. This is good news for companies who need labor and know that it will be hard for employees to leave if they don’t like working during the summer months.

Think Outside The Box

You might need a job, but you don’t need to be working in some office all day if you don’t want to. The key is to plan ahead and think about what you want out of a job. If you like working outside, why not become a park ranger, or mow lawns for extra cash? If you enjoy working out a lot, why not work at a gym and help other people meet their fitness goals. You don’t have to waste your time at work.

Work To Live

They say you are supposed to work to live, not live to work. This is a good saying because it puts into perspective why we get jobs. We need money to pay our bills, but somehow become slaves to the money that we make. Our career path doesn’t have to follow what your boss wants, what your parents want or what anybody else wants. Your job should be what you want it to be. Have fun with it, be creative and do what you want. As long as you get paid, who cares what you do.

Do not waste another day at work. Find what you love and follow your dreams. If your dream is to work in an office, there is nothing wrong with that. Just don’t waste your days because you think that there is only one way to make a living, or that you are obligated to take a job for the sake of someone else. It is your life, so make sure you live it well.
