An invoice clerk handles paperwork for products received from vendors and also for invoices to bill customers for products or services. Both types of invoices are put into a computer accounting system for tracking. Invoice clerks generate accounts payable reports, so timely payments can be made to vendors. An invoice clerk may also check invoices for discrepancies in price, quantity and items.
